When it’s time to fall, fall

A poem by me.

Holding on to what you wish you had.

Only you know you haven’t got it.

With all your heart you know you haven’t got it.

But you sure as hell wish you did.

Because if you don’t,

well,

you’ll just have to let go,

And then you’ll fall…

From where?

To where?

Will it hurt?

Will you break?

Will you arise from the fall?

The unknown is terrifying… So terrifying, you are almost willing to hold on to that thing you don’t really have anyway, just not to fall.

But come on!

Do I really want to live a life of lies?

A life… that isn’t a life?

I don’t even know what life is but I sure don’t want to not know if I could know if only…

If only I let go and fall.
